My participation to the races stays an act of will, and it is exactly in it that the thing distinguishes itself from the passion. I feel no need to race, but I feel even less some desire to not doing it.

Yvon Amiel is a French designer and painter artist whose works are mainly directed to the motor racing, his passion. when his son was 4 years old, the father of Mr Amiel, director of an art gallery, took him along with him to visit the artists of which he exposed the painting.
It is, undoubtedly, like this that vocations are born. Yvon Amiel's father pasted away on this 2003 April, 27 at the age of 69 years old. This painting MONZA 71 is dedicated to him.

Evolution Monza 71
Some times ago, Yvon Amiel had proposed to make you discover the evolution of the painting of a watercolour, which is the different steps of his realization, and so create an original animation on this site.
He thus painted a watercolour of 50 x 70 cm, the subject of which is the Grand Prix of Italy 1971 competed in Monza.
This Grand Prix is still the fastest ever of the Formula 1 history. Jacky Ickx was driving the Ferrari 312B #3 and Clay Regazzoni was driving the Ferrari 312B2 #4.

During several weeks weeks, according to the colour's implementation, we published the photos of the evolution of the artist's work. If you have comments on this subject, I suggest you making them in the forum. They are welcome and if Yvon Amiel wishes it, he can react to these comments.

The 13 protagonists drawn at the attack of the Parabolica in this 11th lap are Peterson and Regazzoni frontally, just behind take place the 2 Tyrrell of Cevert and Stewart. Our friend Jacky Ickx, Jo Siffert, and more in retreat Hailwood, Ganley, Amon and Gethin the future winner come then. The 3 latecomers are Oliver, Pescarolo and Galli.
